When I first heard about this game I was very excited to say the least. I have played all in the series which started way back in 1996 (copyright of Psygnosis Ltd.) The thought of a formula one game on the playstation 3 made me water at the mouth. When I finally laid hands on this game, I rushed home and immediately inserted it into ps3's mouth.
This game is essentially F1 2006, which appeared on ps2, with a kick up the ass in the graphic and sound departments.
It contains all the official cars (plus a few bonus oldies from different decades) and circuits from the 2oo6 season. Set out below (in the order of lowest to top in performance) is the veichles available with their driver line up.

Difficulty settings:
Easy: This setting accomadates for beginners and newcomers alike.
Medium: Good challenge presented if using the mid to lower tiers of cars.
Hard: The ultimate challenge. AI cars post reasonable times and you need to be on top of your game to claim victory against the top forerunners (Renault, McLaren, Ferrari).
Car setups:
Setting up the car correctly is the best way to beat the AI on the hard difficulty.
The following setups will enable you to beat all the gold times listed in time trial. They will also allow you to compete against the hard AI difficulty and win the world championship.
For the following setups I have used the Renault, which I find to be the best car overall.
